I just froze G4's message board! I found a fucking flaw in their board software and that shit is down for the count! Remember the last time I posted in this thread? The board hasn't been back since! I found a fucking incredible exploit with their post tagging system!

LO-FUCKING-L! I know for sure they're going to ban me for this. That's fine, I could care less if they delete my account. I used TOR anyway.

I would tell /b/ about this but...OH MY GOD THIS SHIT IS STILL DOWN!

The website isn't down but the SERVER is fucking DEAD. Hahaha! I killed that shit. Hahaha!

I guess I need to be more careful because I wasn't trying to kill their boards but there you go. They're going to have to reboot this thing. It's been half an hour now. And I know exactly why it's like that. I know exactly how it happened.

Two things:

1) It's taking a very long time to process what I did. Which is understandable.
2) With everybody hammering the server right now, they either froze this thing or slowed it down even further. All I know is after they reboot I WILL be a prime suspect.

I guess I'll explain it.

See, you can tag you replies/posts. So say in this post I'm making now, below would be an input box like the subject. And in there you can add tags. Because I'm such a whore for attention, I tagged ALL my posts with my name and my blog address. So soon those tags were on the main forum page...THE FORUMS ARE BACK! LOL! Okay, so like I was saying, I was tagging my posts.

Well, eventually my tags were the most used ones on the front page. But that wasn't good enough. It was only 20 or so times. And I know I don't post that much. And I don't want to compete with other people's tags. So I tried posting my tag more than once. First time I tried it it worked!

So then I tried it again. This time I posted my tag A LOT. The crazy thing is, they don't set a character limit on the tag box. So I can spend five minutes on the Ctrl-V button if I wanted. I spent two minutes.

So, I went from 200 to 800 without having to post as many times!

And now the forum is back so I might try it again. But maybe not post it so many times. Clearly the forum had an issue processing 600 tags. Let's see, 600 tags slowed it down for half an hour. That's 20 tags a minute.

Hmmmm.

The best part, and the REASON why this happens? It checks your post for duplicate tags. And then when the page loads with your reply, the duplicate tags are deleted. So I guess it counts the tags and THEN deletes them.

So people see the post and captainmunch only appears once!

And if nobody believes me, because I have nothing better to do tonight, I'll slow the server AGAIN.
