I'm almost never online so I use http://www.miniaim.net/

There's no install, it just runs. It's leaves a very small footprint. What do you die-hards use?

I use the regular client with stolen DeadAIM. People go bananas for all these different clients but I need a new AIM client like I need a new toaster: probably not at all, even if it's free.

Supposedly it's especially hard to make a client for AIM, which is all I need to hear to know I don't want to try, although I have a few ideas about what mine would be like.

After I posted this I decided to go back to using regular AIM and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_man_%28AIM_plugin%29

Better than deadaim and does more.

I got back into aim because people always ask me for my aim address.

As soon as I think I'm out...
