I'm not reading anything. Although I just finished listening to a bunch of Forgotten Realms books on tape, plus the God Delusion. |

I read the beginning of The Selfish Gene and I give his writing an A++. I never made the connection that the guy that Liquid Snake quoted was also the atheist asshole! |

Some moron who pronounces the names differently in every book.
They're very good to listen to, though, because they don't require much attention and I can work pretty much as normal.
I didn't really get why he was such an advocate of Atheism, to be honest, until hearing his stuff. I didn't realize how many of his views were a result of natural selection. |

I'm reading Nickel & Dimed and Rabbit, Run from the libary but I'll probably end up returning them and rereading Grendel and then A Confederacy of Dunces.
I want to read the LOTR trilogy this summer but Rice and Magic Juan were both extremely discouraging when I brought up that ambition. |

So are Al Gore's books all about environmentalism, Ace? Or is that one, anyway?
I saw it, and the immediate impression I get from the title is that it's an atheist book, attacking religious people. |

This is more about the failures of the Bush government, and how television is destroying American politics. His argument is that despite overwhelming evidence to things such as global warming and Iraq not affiliated with 9/11, American politicians ignore reason.
Silmarillion is Tolkien's best book. |

Television is not destroying American politics. Anyways, whenever a new medium comes up, people quickly blame it for destroying the quality of the electoral process.
Anyways, one of my friends is reading Steve Jobs' one book, and I got pretty angry because hey, Steve Jobs is a huge faggot. |

Steve Jobs is the one of the most villainous men in the world.
He's probably worse than the Pope. And this is me saying that! |

Gore favors the internet. He says it brings intelligence back into political discussions. He says TV forces candidates to worry more about raising money to buy TV spots. Also that TV is far more passive than newspapers or the internet.
Though, to counter Gore, the Spanish American War would never have happened if not for Hearst and his newspapers. |

I didn't like Gore until I watched An Inconvenient Truth, which I think is fantastic. And I think he's fantastic, even if he can be boring at times. I wish he would run for president, but I don't think he will. |

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, which right now is oscillating between okay and horrendous. |

It will be neat if Gore wins the Nobel Peace Prize this year. He's a favorite, not only because it allows the Europeans to shove it into Bush's face. |
