I'm actually thinking about purchasing this because it isn't that expensive and the story seems interesting, but clearly it seems like the type of show that would suffer immensely from bad subtitles. Does anyone know how good they are?

I watched the subs that were out before it got licensed and they were fine. I mean, I'm sure it's being subbed somewhere, but I don't know where.

Besides, Derek, this is 2007. The subs have almost no chance of being bad. It's not not like manga because spoken Japanese is a lot easier to translate than written Japanese.

Death Note anime seemed like one of the most unnecessary things to transform into an anime since the manga is just 20 pages of inner monologue a chapter, but it's actually very well done.
