It's interesting, because it was a factor in me creating an anime themed music clips game to begin with. It was basically, 'Hikaru no Go' clips, getting some nice Joe Hisaishi stuff, Heart of the Sword (which I bumped because I had already used it, unfortunately), and insulting you by calling Macross Robotech.

I was really impressed with some of the music that I did manage to get, though. I guess you don't really notice for a lot of animes because it's very backgroundish. The Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop (#15) piano pieces were really nice.

I want to first start by stating of the animes on the list, the only ones I hadn't seen a few episodes of were:
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, FOTNS and Wolf's Rain. (I've seen 2 episodes of FLCL, I believe, but it's really short anyway).

I picked Death Note, because it was very recent, and I remember seeing it talked about somewhere (turned out it was in Roy's thread).

Cowboy Bebop, because whenever I looked up top OST lists, it was always really far up there, and it was done by Yoko Kanno. Also, Triple Life has mentioned it a lot.

Hikaru no Go, for masturbatory reasons.

Wolf's Rain, also by Yoko Kanno, figured it was very hard, highly rated on OST lists for some reason (all of the songs I heard from it sucked immensely).

Ippo, because it was very popular with Vinny. Also, that one clip (21) sounds very Rockyish, which I thought was neat.

Kenshin, it's just ridiculously popular (I would estimate it's possibly the fourth most watched anime here, after DBZ, Naruto and Berserk). Also I wanted Heart of the Sword and the anime itself was mentioned recently.

Naruto, just because I had some, and it would be easy (or so I thought).

Escaflowne, because it was mentioned recently. Unfortunately every song I listened to just involved them saying Escaflowne over and over again. So I had to scour for a clip without lyrics.

I just picked the main themes from some of the Miyazaki movies. I really thought a lot of people would have seen them, since they're so much more readily available than other animes. I guess I didn't realize that downloading was almost the sole source of all that at this board.

About half of the TV shows were dubbed, or at least easily available subbed before I went to University, so that certainly coloured it for things like Voltron, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Escaflowne, Evangelion (I know about it even without having seen it), Perfect Blue, etc.

Pretty much everything I didn't get was either something I haven't seen before or Miyazaki which all sounds the same anyway.

That Escaflowne one was really pissing me off, actually.

I knew it was from something that I had watched a lot, AND I ACTUALLY DID SUSPECT ESCAFLOWNE, but it seemed so familiar that I thought it must have been something I saw more recently.

You need to post a list of the people who submitted guesses but didn't get Cha La Head Cha La, so I can ban them.

I don't trust any of the lyrical ones Chris got, because I'm sure he just typed the words into a search engine. Understanding how to spell the slant words allows him that avenue.

The "nani ga dekiru" one was the only one where I was very conscious of the lyrics and it pissed me off, because I'm close to being able to understand it, but not quite there, and I was convinced that Google wouldn't help me. So I wasn't able to trace it.

I don't think I've heard any DBGT music. Also, when I said Dragon Ball for 25, the lack of a Z was merely an oversight.
