Do you use either of these social apps on your cell phones? We can start a group and share memes and hilarious gifs.
Telegram is better and super popular in Iran, but I think you Americans don't use Telegram much and are all into Whatsapp. |

I use Slack to talk to my friends. I think some sort of FTU group chat would be great because I never go to the IRC channel and when I do I get kicked for being idle and although there's probably a way to fix that I haven't done so.

We've wanted to get Slack but it wouldn't allow us to save a full history.
More people should just use the IRC chat.

| Slack is $7 per user per month. There's a bunch of free alternatives, but Hipchat is $2 per user per month, which will be a deal for me once I stop paying for Digital Ocean which I signed up for in a failed attempt to implement the free alternatives. |

Just fucking WhatsApp or Telegram please. I already have both of those. They are used enough by people around the world that there is already a need for it. Why you guys want to complicate matters?
Don't you guys have either of them already on your phones? I haven't met anyone in meat space that doesn't have one or the other. |

Telegram is super popular in certain regions. To be honest, I thought it was more popular than it actually is, when I looked at this,

But it does seem to be growing at a very fast rate. It has things like channels, bots, etc.
It's like Whatsapp but with more features, like the ability to send any kind of files to other users.
Of course, like any other social network app, it really depends on how many people you know use it. For me in Iran, almost everyone has Telegram.
