So, fuck these gay movies.
Pros: Legolas tries to stab a guy, he catches the blade, and then Legolas smirks because he's fallen into his checkmate of jumping up on his head like a squirrel and stabbing him in the skull, none of which was especially possible at that moment in particular. Also, at least two set pieces are plagiarized from Mario 64.
Cons: Same exact fucking thing as every other movie in this neverending fucking story. Action scenes look in-game footage from the PS4 adaptation, probably because of 48FPS (the Nazgul vs wizards royal rumble was especially jaw dropping.) I would contrast it with The Lego Movie, which I also just watched, and which was awesome and great because of how childish it is. The Hobbit 3 sucks for the same reason.
Peter Jackson, more like M. Night Shyamalan. |

I guess I can't really argue with anything Peter said, but I enjoyed this movie.
At least it was much better than the second one! |

This is true.
Most of my friends hated the trilogy for basically not being LOTR, but even the source material is obviously lacking compared to LOTR. I guess my main problem is The Hobbit movies seem to be confused as to what they want to be...a bit more simplistic and light-hearted(ish) like the book, or dark and serious like the trilogy. |
