I haven't looked into it but I'd be very surprised if there's no second season. I mean, it's popular enough that they went to the trouble of putting it on netflix and then dubbing it and airing the episodes on toonami. I guess it wouldn't be the first case of something that seems to have legs being shunned for a second season but it seems to be doing well enough to justify one.

The Jojo Part 3 anime is pretty great, guys. They don't seem to be cutting anything out so I'm guessing it'll run for like 30-40 episodes.

I really hope the ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA of the Lovers stand user lasts about two minutes on screen.

ATTACK ON TITAN: Man, I don't know about this one. I think I fucking hate this show. Like Jason said the pacing is brutal (I know I keep singing its praises but go watch Kill La Kill and then try to watch this. It's sensory torture.) and every part that isn't a titan fight doesn't hold my interest. And I don't mean the parts where the humans fight titans, because holy shit, the titans are easily the least intimidating threat to humanity I've ever seen. The way the characters react to them made me think this was some sort of parody at first. People catch a brief glimpse of some slightly tall goofy motherfucker doing a silly walk around town and it immediately traumatizes them for life. Giving them hair was a really poor design choice.

The attempts at humour fall flat so badly I have to wonder why they didn't just play the whole thing straight. Since every other non-action scene is usually somebody blubbering like a little bitch or staring dead eyed into the distance it makes it all the more egregious. This is basically People Crying: The Anime.

I definitely loathe every character. Especially Eren, that kid is a total cuntface and the embodiment of everything I hate about anime protagonists. I could like Mikasa if she wasn't tainted by her undying devotion to Captain Cuntface.

I actually got pretty pumped during that episode where Eren was devoured by Bryan Johnson the Titan. It gave me a Gurren Lagann vibe because maybe Eren's Kamina-like idiocy would inspire pussy ass Armin and clingy Mikasa to grow as characters and stop trying to solve anything with blind optimism, bloodlust or matronly protectiveness. Badass post Eren's death Mikasa is the closest this show came to doing anything right with their main trio of characters. Then he came back and she went right back to pitiful shounen anime female protagonist status. Armin remains a little bitch to this day.

HOWEVER, the female titan arc is where this show really hit its stride (lol, cuz the female titan runs around all over the place). More of that, less of everything else.

Yeah, I guess I never came back to clarify, not that it really matters, but after about halfway through the season I stopped caring about the pacing (as both a result it improving and my becoming more invested in the humans) and got really into it.

By the time it actually resumes, though, I'll have forgotten everything, and they'll have Naruto'd the plot into the ground, so who gives a fuck.

I'm finally watching Monster now. Somebody needs to stop this Johan guy.

Bakemonogatari (First season): Hey, I like something! The characters aren't abysmal cunts that spew exposition every two seconds, it has almost nothing to do with high school, the art style is inventive and it the story is about spooky ghosts or whatever. Those are all good things. Bonus: Vampires.

I definitely did, and I still think that about the first few episodes. You pretty much have to power through the first two ODDITIES before it gets to anything interesting. The amount of pointless fan service in season two is cooling my interest a bit, though. Crotch Shot City.

I've only seen the first two episodes of Nise, but since they're entirely about the main guy sexually harassing and/or getting harassed by every female character that isn't related to him (including the elementary school girl), I'm not surprised.

I think I'm being drawn in by the promises of extreme violence. They only happen every three episodes or so but it's always a treat when it happens. The blood geyser at the end of season one reminded me of the Metal Slug zombies.

I don't know if this is the APPROPRIATE area but I just finished reading the Lone Wolf and Cub manga. I might be several years late on this but I thought it was PRETTY GOOD.

It's very different than the film series which is just mostly a fat samurai saying "Daigoro ..." in an excessively deep voice and scenes of flesh being tossed from a rapidly diminishing person. I was surprised how well written it was as this was the guy that wrote Crying Freeman and Mad Bull 34.

It was also weird that a 28 volume manga could basically focus on only three characters. There probably isn't more than five or six characters in the entire series that live longer than a volume.

There apparently is a sequel (just like Mad Bull 34 has a sequel in Mad Bull 2000) but I can't imagine it being good.

I'm 10 episodes into Kill La Kill and this is definitely the best anime I've seen since Gurren Lagann. I'm just loving everything about it! Everyone told me I need to watch Attack on Titan but that shit was boring as hell and I had to take a break after a few episodes. Kill La Kill got me hooked immediately. Hopefully they don't kill a dope character halfway through like they did in TTGL (no soilerz pls).

Yeah I saw your pp grill in the preview for the next episode. I was pretty excited to watch it but I had to spend all night yesterday getting caught up on Big Brother for a Big Brother Fantasy Draft (I'm gay) so I'll have to peep that shit this evening.
