You are all mean and crude!
I am serious about being deathly concerned about others pointing and laughing at pretty much anythibg I could possibly like. I imagine this is what it felt like to relate to the cast members of roots. |

My brother referred to Grant Morrison as a "modern day prophet" on Facebook. My brother is wrong, but at least he made me realize that "modern day prophet" is an annoying expression. |

All words ever said to anyone or about anything. I'm sick of your annoying shit and moving on to the next step of language. |

So here's a problem in language: it's gotten to the point where all terms-of-address for "friend" (including "friend") sound sarcastic by default, unless clear vocal inflection, or unambiguous context, is at work to denote that you're NOT being sarcastic.
You can't say "that looks awesome, buddy!" or "happy to see you, pal" or "nice work, friend" without sounding like you're either mocking the person or being cheekily old-fashioned.
I'm jealous of Australians, because they have "mate", which hasn't been destroyed in that way.
The closest we have to usable solutions are "dude", "bro", and "man", but all of those have their own problems. Especially bro.
Though I guess you can't go wrong with nigga! |

I've never wanted to read that stinkhole for longer than 6 seconds! "Oh wow, comic relief characters! It's so true, they DO have those!" |
