I figured something was wrong a while ago. It was highly unusual for him to stop chatting. The thing that strikes me the most about this is that he knew he wasn't going to make it, but he lived it up anyways. He made the most out of situations from what little he had. I guess, he would call that efficient.

I keep feeling like he should be allowed to come back and weigh in on the subject of his own death, but when I try I can't imagine it. He would definitely have considered his death the #1 severest tragedy imaginable and as far as I can tell that shit was 100% serious. It's not like if DR died or something, and you could picture him going "well shucks, I guess that's that, gang."

Also, the more I think about that eulogy the more he seems outrageously consistent. Apart from specific anecdotes it was pretty much the eulogy I would have given. My brother was a trolling fuck head who was obsessed with minimizing the amount of personal information he revealed, the end.

When he came back, it was like the ending to Ashita no Joe where everyone was relieved that he survived, and they were busting his balls a little bit and playing down how concerned they were now that they saw he was okay, but in reality, he was sitting on the stool after the end of the fight and fading away to white ash ...

Somebody needs to say it on the dead guy's behalf: after the initial shock of familiarity, it's a shitty eulogy. It's cold and gawky like a Wikipedia article.

If this is his family then what was he doing for that last year without a computer? Staring at the wall?
