Not really anime but I just found out there's an Evangelion Detective Shinji manga thing now.
So let's see, that's three versions of the main story (manga, original anime series, new movies) (three and a half if you count the original movies), at least three alternate universe manga I can think of off the top of my head, and god knows how many AU video game stories there are out there.
Hey, Gainax, if you're content with recycling the same fucking characters over and over and over and over again, how about getting to work on some alternate universe Gurren Lagann scenarios? |

The movie was good; but it was a bit like watching the SImpsons movie. Good, but lots about it was not what it should have been, and I wouldnt watch it more than once
The sub-plot, while boorish and childish, at least made me laugh; so I guess that makes this movie better than anything involving Scooby-Doo (or Jar Jar Binks). The fights and the main plot could have been done a little better though.

Wait, is that really how the Captain Tylor OVAs end? Fucking really? Two decent episodes, followed by eight boring as shit ones like an episode all about that gynophobic pilot and another about Marine #2, then when things finally start getting interesting, it just stops without any sort of resolution?
