The thing about Theldorrin was that he has always extremely helpful. You could just fire up your AIM, look for him (he was always online) and ask him a computer question and he'd help you out. He was patient and wouldn't be sarcastic if you asked an idiotic question.

Thel was always very chivalrous towards the girls of this board. He would never insult them, and wouldn't use sexual degorotary terms to refer to them.

He seemed to have a geeky crush on Morgan, and I remember how Whoregan would nerdtease him by pretending to be interested in Math. Poor Thel.

Unlike Theldorrin, I don't think Mike Payne is very helpful, but I can't be sure, because no one ever asks Mike Payne for any help, since he doesn't seem to know anything everyone else doesn't know

My wife was picked up for bad islamic dress, and I had to pick her up from the police station. She was there for an hour and so, and she was all boo hoo. Whatever, it was a minor inconvenience at best and I tried to tell her that as diplomatic as possible, but she wouldn't get it.

I wonder what enviro-social pressures caused Islamic societies to evolve the way they did, especially with regard to women!

I've always meant to look into it but never have. I know very little about Middle Eastern culture in general, from the anthropological perspective in particular.
