 Game of Thrones (Possible Spoilers) |

So I have seen the 1st two seasons of the show then I went out and got the books.
Just this morning I finished the 1st book.
I think they did a good job getting as much as possible from the book I only noticed a couple of small things (that I noticed there is probably more)
One thing right off the bat that I thought was an odd change was the difference between Kat and Eddard. When the king was coming in the book Eddard was sure he would not go and Kat kept telling him he would but for the show they switched that up completely. I do not see why maybe they wanted Eddard to be a more stern and honor bound character for the show but I guess it all works out.
Anyways time to start book 2 |

Well that is apparent but this thread is about pointing those differences out. Obviously some were for time constraints but certain events change also.
I am on page 100 of Clash of Kings (2nd book) and recently Tyrion promoted a guard to Captain of the Gold Cloaks instead of Bronn. I am guessing they just promoted Bronn in the show because it keeps their characters down. |
