So I just checked FTU for the first time in 2 weeks because that's the world we live in now, and I saw that my post got ruined by autocorrect. Just so you know, here is what I meant to say:

"I recently heard someone refer to taking a pee as "rippin' hog", and have since adopted it as my go-to pee term."

I see this a lot now, with people attributing stuff to autocorrect. What on earth are you using where it autocorrects pee to off?

I guess I'm trapped in the 90s, when the autocorrect feature actually corrected typos by fixing transposed letters and the like, and not the modern era, where phones use it to substitute in entirely new words.

It's my understanding that people in the US use their phones for a lot of Internet stuff because they haven't all been shifted to metered cellular content yet.

Based on what I've seen about this autocorrect thing, it seems that phones automatically 'correct text' (ie. replace words by randomly selecting a new word from the dictionary) at a point where it's submitted and you can't change it. Actually, I think it usually autocorrects to the same word, so there's probably a deterministic algorithm or maybe after it selects it the first time, it stores it in a hashtable.

Yeah, the only reasonable autocorrect should be to fix small spelling mistakes such as changing definetely to definitely.

Maybe Yorgurtman and Theldorrin should make an android APP for FTU, so that people can easily read it on their phones.

The reason I was posting from my phone is because I was on vacation and had no computer access. I do use my phone for internet browsing, but usually not FTU because it's not OPTIMIZED.
