How is that less artificial than, say, writing a post several times without sending it? If you have so much trouble just writing a post?

Well, first I have to make a post, then right away I open the thread to see what it looks like in the thread, as opposed to the "reply" box, where the aesthetic difference can subtly change the nuances and contours.

Then I check it again about 20 minutes later, to see how it has "settled." (Oftentimes I won't like something about it, after letting it breathe a little.)

The point is, there's no real way to be sure about a post until after it's been posted.
