The John Buis Late Night Thread |
|
|
So I work in a call center and at this time I now have the night shift (11pm-8am) so it is a customer service job and now with very little customers. It is pretty radical as I have adjusted to my sleep schedule well enough. Also I keep coffee grounds in my desk and bring a french press with me to work to utilize the free hot water.
For the most party kongregate is unblocked so I play web games for down time and I bought a smart phone even though I barely use the internet on it. I play my music on it though so that is good.
This thread will barely contain anything relevant to anything mostly just something for me to post about during the long hours.
Currently listening to Misfits - Pumpkin Head

So this dude in Pennsylvania called out 800 Maintenance number just to talk he did not have an account with us I do not even think he knew who he was calling. I was working on other cases and mostly ignoring him and he would have literally just idled on the phone all night if I did not force it to end. He liked talking to me and was trying to ask my age which I replied "I am old" because I am not giving personal info out. |

I probably owe Ellie Goulding commissions for all the code I've written while listening to her one good song. |

This dude called back again. He does not have a business account and I think he is just lonely. This time around I was all business and pretended I did not know him. He kept saying "you called me and did not know my pin and I called you back so you could call me" "it was last Friday" and I kept saying "I take a lot of calls here and talk to a lot of people" and kept asking him if he had an account over and over. I think I hurt his feelings... I do not know how he got this number in the first place anyways unless it is a trick or something. Anyways I hope that is the last I have heard from him but it will probably not be. |

Ok so my wife has one of the girls set up to do a pageant tomorrow. It is about 30 minutes from our house but she is still getting a hotel room for the night even though I tell her it is crazy. The pageant is not the fake teeth and tan kind but still that does not mean the parents are not as horrible. I will become friends with the hotel bar. Also there is a casino up the street and I guess the room does give you a couple of free tokens. Perhaps I may strike it big. If I strike it big enough to pay off my house and have left overs I will buy you guys plane tickets to come to Rochester, NY for FTU Bud Light and Shrimp Fest 2012!!! (If you do not like Bud Light like me we can dump it and pour a good beer into the can)
So I will get off of work at 8am and be tired so I will pound coffee and go hang out watching all of these kids run around crazy like. At least I have a smart phone now to waste some time. |

8 and 6, but they have babies being judged. The things sit on the stage in an outfit picked by their parents and try not to fall over and people judge that.
It is bad too because some moms enter their sons and at most there will be 2-3 boys competing and none of them look happy. |

I rarely ever drinking cheap beer but I will make a list of them
Yuengling
Labbat Blue
Coors Light
Miller High Life
PBR
I have not had a Coors Light in so long but as far as drinking a beer to get drunk goes it is an easy drink. Labbat Blue is at most sporting events and even though I rarely go to them I would get a Labbat Blue at one when I go. |

Last weekend I had a porter I liked, then went out and bought a ton of different porters (big ups to Bevmo). I live alone and because I'm in Oakland I suffer from no danger of people coming to my house and drinking my beer, so my crop of dangerous intra-abdominal fat is coming along swimmingly. |

I like porters from time to time. It is a good beer to only have a couple of at most and not want to drink a lot of.
I just got the Dogfish Head 90min IPA this weekend it is quite good but alas a 4 pack and 11 bucks or so. It is still worth it because I am good after just 1 anyways. |

Jesus Christ, John Buis. Don't put your 6 year old in a beauty pageant. That shit is terrible and you should feel terrible. |
