Mundane things that actually happened thread. |

So today I went downstairs at like 7 after not being able to sleep. My aunt had set out a bunch of stuff to make a pancake breakfast for mother's day but we didn't end up eating it because my other aunt never came over. My cousin and his fiance did show up though and they stayed for like an hour before my cousin complained of headaches and left. Then I helped my aunt put together this shoe bench that I had bought for her and my mom for Mother's Day. When that was done we went to get some pizza for lunch and bring it back home. When we got home we found the pizza was barely cooked (the cheese was still light yellow) so she put it in our oven for a while to better cook it. I'm not sure what they do different at pizza places that they don't do to Digiorno's but it doesn't seem to matter how they cook it since it still tasted a lot better than Digiorno's pizza. at this point I was falling asleep on the couch so I decided to go lay down for a while and by the time I woke up it was 11pm so maybe I'll be up all night again. |

Does your aunt have huge boobs that she is always touching you with on accident when she leans over you and such? |

Heating up delivery pizza in the oven is really the most incredible thing in the world. The only good thing I can say about times I've lived without a microwave is that it forced me to explore my options for reheating pizza.
Psaturn, I think the problem with Digiorno pizza is that it has to be freeze dried. Even shitty delivery pizza that was made fresh and then cooled down in the car and then reheated in the oven is still gonna be better than the nicest pizza ever frozen and stored and thawed in the oven. |

I used to reheat pizza in the oven but sometimes I will throw a bit of olive oil in a pan and heat it up that way. Pending on the cheese and toppings I will even sear the top of it and heat both sides. |

I woke up late for work like usual and by the time I was out of the house it was 10:30am. My work is very close to my home, it can take me 15 minutes by walking but in Iran there are shared cabs that you can ride in, if its passing you by, and its going your route, and it costs only 300 toman which is 17 US cents. I checked my emails, answered a few calls, checked FTU, made an FTU post about the internet, listened to my HR cry regarding some personal issue, had a meeting with my CRM Manager regarding some policy changes, my BIE manager regarding some A4 folders to order for the customer, operation supervisor regarding a shredder machine to buy (costs 170 usd, but apparently, we call sell the papers that are shredded per kg, so we can get the money back, so I told him to get the price for how they will buy it for), cashier brought me some files to sign, my wife send me a SMS to not to forget to bring the classifies (she's looking for a job), my cousin from Dubai called about how she will be coming to Iran in the next 3 weeks and reminding me to prepare the paper on a charity organization I'm thinking of starting, my cousin in my hometown calling me to invest our vacation money (three of us send a small money monthly to a bank account, to save up for vacation which we want to do together annually) in either gold or dollars, since it has gone down recently, and its going up again (to choose between either dollar or gold as investment, I flipped a coin, which I have been doing recently to make investment and life plans, so far its been better than my own decisions), and it seems there is a birthday part planned while I am writing this. Oh, and I just notice Farshid outside the office. Farshid comes every Tuesday, I give him a list of movies, and he brings me the pirated DVDs of them. I can download them from the internet, but its nice having a person come every week to give me a new batch of movies I never watch. Now they are calling me to come to the birthday thing. |

I went to the gym for the first time ever last night because I'm tired of getting fatter and Planet Fitness is only $10 a month. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of weight training and it was absolute agony. The best part was the glimpses of the Celtics game I got on the eliptical when I wasn't wincing and seeing stars and trying to catch my breath. I can't believe I ever let myself get this out of shape. Somehow I pulled something in my arm while I was improperly stretching my leg. I can't even explain what happened, I was just kind of pushing down on my ankle awkwardly and I got a shooting pain around my elbow. Now today I can't hold it straight down by my side. I just took 3 Tylenol and I'm hoping that does something for me. I'm having to walk around holding my arm at my chest like a goddamn retard, otherwise it feels like I got seriously kimura'd. |

My sister came home on Sunday, only to need a ride back to her school the next morning. Apparently she forgot a class she scheduled or something, but my dad thinks she was lying just so she could get out of the house earlier.
Anyway, my sister goes to school in Vermont, from Boston, about nine hours back and forth, total. I had stayed up the previous evening all night playing God Eater Burst, so I was a little afraid I was gonna fall asleep on the highway, as I have before.
So my dad gives us $100 dollars, $80 of which went to the necessary gas driving up I-90E. It's typically a painfully long ride, but my sis is pretty cool to talk to, so it was alright. She was telling me that my cig smoking was making me lose my hair, to which I somberly agreed.
We listened to a bunch of her old CDs. She had some wack indiecore whatevers that even she couldn't remember the names of, and Jean Paul. Jean Paul, the uh, that really popular Jamaican artist back in the day? That his name? And Seal, we listened to a lot of Seal.
She popped in Cowboy Bebop Blue, but the CD player fucking ate it and burned it. I wasn't pissed at her, just at the fact that was my only copy of Bebop Blue. But I didn't show it anyway.
She gave me the directions the whole way, and I kept kicking myself for having a former friend who fucking stole my GPS, and then rolling it over in my head who else was in on it. Fucking assholes. Glad I left them.
I managed to get home okay, but I was supposed to pick up my mom in Needham, but I fucked up the exists, wound up in Allston, and after some painful driving directions from him, finally found the housing he works at. Whole trip just beat into my head how poor a sense of direction I have. |

I sat in my office most of the day reading up about the Franks, the Reconquista, and the founding of the Holy Roman Empire since my boss was away for the day and I have only long-term projects that I am working on at the moment. It was nice to do basically nothing because the last three months were the most stressful time of the year at work (four giant projects with deadlines all at the same time). I chatted with the cute blonde staff scientist for a bit (basically my only socialization of the day) then left fifteen minutes early but of course the metro was running slow so the 15 minutes were meaningless.
Made some couscous from a box, ate some pistachios, watched the Yankees lose on tv while also watching a video game stream of someone playing Final Fantasy V, because I didn't feel like doing anything else. There was a crazy but brief thunderstorm and the lights flickered but the power didn't go off.
Tuesdays are fun. |

I had a friend who would only listen to Sean Paul. I honestly don't remember ever being in his car and having him have any other music. |

I made Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut coffee with my french press at about 4am. I am drinking it now. I have no cream but 4 packets of sugar in it. Once in a while I will drink coffee black because if I just have to load it up with sugar and what not there is no point in me drinking it. I think I should like some of the taste innately if I will continue to drink it. |

This is not a parody. They're completely serious. That's the second most ridiculous commercial I've ever seen. The first being the Dodge Charger commercial where George Washington wins the Revolutionary War by committing vehicular homicide. |

Believe it or not, a few months ago when one of my friends first started going there, he actually showed me that video, somehow thinking that that wack ass shit would incentivize me to join.
When I actually did join, though, it became clear that it's just a gym like any other gym. There was no free candy and no one has ever rung a lunk alarm. |
