Kind of like time travel either temporarily or permanent. You can be reborn as a different race, gender and area like an Englishman in China in the 1800's. (Born to English parents in China something like that) or even visit a certain time for a week and be a certain age. (Be a 20 year old Geisha in Japan in the 1700's for a week) Kind of like a Quantum Leap thing. Which would you pick. I mean you could probably pick to be born into a noble family in medieval times so your life would not be hard but maybe not as fun. You can not become some one famous though like be Abraham Lincoln. Also you can chose to be born in the future and how far into the future.

If you picked permanent there would be no turning back and you would be stuck there but if you picked temporarily you have to come back and can not chose to stay.

It would have to be a risk. I would at least say if there is some kind of utopian society full of ultra rich and the outside is slums you can choose to be born into upper class.

I would probably lean closer to the future and probably about 1000 years from now but I would only stay a week. I can handle this life and it would be viewed as a vacation of sorts.

I guess I'd probably just be rich currently or I'd travel back to lotto mania last month with the correct numbers or something, unless I'm assured of a Utopian future, which I'd move to permanently.

Why would you ever commit to going anywhere permanently if you could choose to go temporarily and see if you like it or not?

Anyway, fuck the future (unpredictable), and fuck the past (no Internet).

Though don't get me wrong, fuck the present too.

I'd have a bigger issue with disease and the lack of indoor plumbing. And the lack of electricity.

And yeah, the unpredictable future thing is a problem as well.

I do not want to exist without the Internet (the Web specifically), or whatever may supplant it someday, ever. Fuck plumbing and electricity, though I guess I'd need electricity.

If somebody said, "you can either keep all of your limbs and lose the Internet forever, or keep the Internet and lose one of your limbs (chosen at random)," I am not exaggerating when I say I'd have to seriously think it over (even if my head were considered a limb).

What if you could keep your limbs but only use the internet through someone else would you do that? You would always need someone to search things for you though and post stuff indirectly.

Well I think we are all expecting a good answer. If you chose to use a middle person for your internet needs you will need someone nearby always I guess as a precaution if you used the internet you would die. So if you are to compulsive that would endanger you also. The world is ever evolving Cell phones and texting would be acceptable but apps would not be. For personal use.

If going back temporarily means you cant go back again, you can still find a loophole by going back a few seconds before your first visit.
