I've gotten better at telling them apart visually 90% of the time, but they don't exactly make it easy, since there's goddamn 9 of them and they each have anywhere from 3 to 8 completely different outfits/hairstyles/hair colors in each video.

Vocally I really can't spot anybody but Taeyeon and Jessica, and Sunny sometimes.

But I definitely know my Taengoo when I hear her~!

This isn't a "DAMN GOOKS ALL LOOK THE SAME" thing.

The problem would be just as bad if it were 9 white girls. The first problem is that there are 9 members, which is enormously large for a band, the second is that the hair/clothing/makeup changes from video to video (even from cut-to-cut) are so DRAMATIC that they really can't be told apart until you "get to know" them.

I think it must be part of the overall strategy, actually.
