Yeah!

It seems like a lot of money to me for a computer, but then I look at the breakdown and nothing seems to be overly expensive. I guess the SSD is kinda pricey, but if that's what you want, what are you going to do?

Do you have an existing monitor? And is it just one monitor?

Yeah, I'll be reusing the monitor, keyboard and mouse I have now, and possibly reformatting my current boot drive to be my next secondary drive (it's only from 2009, my current secondary drives are worryingly old). I also have my external drive for most things.

This sounds like a cool computer that I might try to build if I ever want to build computer. A+.

I made this thread at Theldorrin's insistence, so we're all clear!

This one I made on my own (upvote me, please).

Is multiple graphics cards no longer a thing or what?

I've seen 2x 560 Tis suggested elsewhere, but doing multiple cards makes me worry about the actual build process, since I'm such a noob.

Can we post our builds on this thread? Your setup is near the same cost as mine.

Told there was no difference between the GTX 570 and the GTX 560 Ti 448, so I went down. Can upgrade later.

Changed the case to something with more included fans and no ugly HAF logo on the side.

Went down in power and 620W SHOULD be enough, although I'm nervous. 80 Plus Bronze.

Considered going down in motherboard but couldn't find one I liked.

It's more like $1175 because I'm not getting the CPU from Microcenter. Fortunately, I can basically just place one order from Newegg and Amazon and be done.

Until something is broken.

This is what I built over a year ago. But I waited till Black Friday to get most of the parts which saved me about $200 under that price.

The PSU I use is fine, minimum for my card was 500w and is enough for crossfire as well.

Do you have a Frys where you live? Best deals you can find is there. Got my board about $40 dollars less than whats listed there and it wasn't any on-sale price either.

I've heard good things about Frys.

What's the difference between the Ripjaws and Value series, do you know?

Apparently a "heat spreader."

The HAF case I have is similar to the one you first posted. I don't notice the lettering as much, its all blended with black with some shine to it. Didn't need a cooler. The air flow is pretty good.

Yeah, I wondered whether it's customary to buy additional fans from the ones that come with the case. You're just using the standard included?

It's quieter and more reliable because it doesn't have mechanical parts. I believe the performance is better, too.

I just use the fans with the case. There is one on the back, top and front.

The side panel grill can fit an optional two or one big fan and there is one more spot that can fit a fan next to the power supply on the bottom of the case.

The three that come built-in is enough because of its design.
