Saudi Arabian cuisine, while delicious, is extremely rich (tons of meat and rice) and the portions are goddamn terrifying.

I'm trying to cook more at home just so I can eat meals that don't completely annihilate me, but I've forgotten what dishes are good since I haven't had to cook for the longest time.

So, what meals do you commonly cook at home?

My only ideas so far are cream of tomato soup and beef stew.

At the very least they're equivalent.

I went to eat Indian food the other day and the naan they served was the size of a large pizza. All of the dishes for rice I get are about as long from my hand to my elbow. The closest thing I can find to a light meal is a shwarma/kebab or a packaged salad.

Perhaps the portions are smaller than American-sized ones, but you've gotten too used to Korean-sized food.

I couldn't eat a "normal" hamburger in the US in one sitting when I first got back. Took about a month to be able to do so.

Flat bread like that is big because it is meant to be eaten by more than one person, at least in my experience (Indian, North African, central-Asian).

Buy noodles and boil a serving for around 4 minutes, then drain. Stir-fry some protein and vegetables in garlic, pepper, soy sauce, and honey. Once that's all cooked, toss in the noodles, cook a bit longer, and serve. Simple and easy.

This is more disturbing if you consider that because you couldn't produce that much jizz at one time, you'd have to have spend decades jizzing into a pool to fill it up. I hope you at least chlorinated it, because that would be some nasty, rancid jizz.
