Why not just take satisfaction in knowing that some shitty Theldorrin part of their mind may start screeching at them later in life when they start to get wrinkles?
Also, do you have a basis for thinking that wrinkles are avoided by people who remain expressionless their whole lives? |

Don't be silly, ALDP. Humans unfortunately have none of me in their brains.
There are obviously other causes of wrinkles, of course. There are a multitude of benefits to not smiling though. It's not just about wrinkles. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Pfft. Saying someone has a dash of me in them because they don't smile is like saying that someone has a dash of me in them because part of me is in their butt. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Has Chris not posted for a while, or did I just gloss over his posts as is often the case?
I guess I could check if he's banned but I've already exerted more effort than I'd like in making this post. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

I saw some mention of Mao and Stalin killing millions of people as a way to detract from atheists, and I actually did a bit of cursory research.
Are people just attributing incidental deaths because of policy to Mao?
Because when people talk about the atrocities of religion, they generally specifically mean things carried out in the name of religion, and intentionally so. Ie. Witch burning, crusades, etc.
If we actually talked about deaths caused by religious people, the numbers balloon to an insane degree! _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Well, you're trolling but of course I attribute "incidental" deaths to these people; especially Stalin
After all, it's not as if these famines were in no way intentional; even the Holodomor couldn't simply be called "incidental"
Not to mention they killed hundreds of thousands of people even without the "incidentals" and whatnot, so I'm still not sure what your point is _________________ It is I, Outland |

Burning someone as a witch is not analogous to instituting policies that may increase the severity of a famine.
If you want an analogy, then you have to examine the deaths that result from policies instituted by religious people. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Yes, and Mao is indirectly responsible (or directly responsible) for the deaths of at least twenty five million people. |

And religious people are directly or indirectly responsible for virtually all human fatalities since the dawn of civilization.
I'm not sure why a religious person would want to go down that path of reasoning. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

It seems like a lot of time has passed, and now I'm curious what is new with people like MHH, who were in a transient part of their life. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Besides, I thought most political elites were closet atheists (or at least closet non-christians) who just have complete and total contempt for the stupid masses _________________ It is I, Outland |

Too much time has passed.....
I'd be in the chat more if I wasn't working 55 hours week on a 14 hour time differential. |
