I don't HATE Michael Cera, but he's basically not good. "Huh huh, yes, oh, soooooo, I'm socially awkward, and have idiosyncratic mannerisms and thoughts that I deliver in a deadpan manner. Urk! *rolls eyes nervously, yet with carefully-honed and calculated intention*"

I don't have a problem with an actor "playing the same character in everything," which is the cliche about Michael Cera, it's just that this particular character doesn't work well on repeat.

Scott Pilgrim was a highly obnoxious film that was extremely self-aware of how cool and edgy it was. Can you imagine how agonizing it would be to physically hang out with any of the characters in that movie?

I only saw one or two episodes of Arrested Development, and don't remember it.
