It was a Disney movie!!!

I fucking liked it a lot.

Supporting detail: The main actor was actually really good and Captain Cocky and Jeff Bridges *cocky zen smirk.* I don't want to spoil anything; it wasn't the kind of movie that will do the same shit as whatever Tron 1 did, or anything that's groundbreaking, PLUS, it's special effects shit on Avatar's face.

This movie was as cheesy as it could possibly be, but the lazor beams were cool.

The son is clearly the underpants guy from The Room.

The movie was basically aesthetics over any sort of depth, but that is OKAY.

What was the point of the ESPIONAGE scene at the beginning? It establishes that the son is a bad boy superhero but it also introduces Encom OS, the CEO, that lead developer guy, and the angle of plan vs. chaos ("Tell them it's all part of the plan"), none of which ever matters again.

Also, young Jeff Bridges looked so much like a PS3 game.

I guess they were trying to establish more back story for Sam Flynn and his behavior and give the movie some non-Tron time.
