The context of me bringing this up is a conversation I had regarding Illinois allowing civil unions for gay people.

A lot of older women tend to think that I am a homosexual, often because I try to not act masculine about anything or because my depression can make me demure at times. Also, when surrounded by macho guys I tend to try to act effeminately to mock them, so a lot of people I've met in the past who I no longer talk to think I'm gay.
