Every year there are a bunch of shits who crawl out and say "YOU KNOW, COLUMBUS DIDN'T DISCOVER AMERICA. YOU CAN'T DISCOVER SOMETHING THAT'S ALREADY INHABITED." And then they talk about the Vikings, Chinese, etcetera. "DURR, EDUCATE YOURSELF."

Is there fucking anyone anymore who doesn't know about others having visited already, or who actually thinks Columbus discovered America, or that the Native American genocide is some kind of deep secret?

Everyone has to make a stink about these issues, every year!

Yeah, no shit, fuckwads. Is this event (Columbus making Europe aware of North America) not critical to American history nonetheless?

Can we just get rid of Columbus Day anyway, so that we don't have to listen to how racist and evil he "actually was, if people only knew"?

Seriously this has to be like number 1 on the list of things that people erroneously believe that the larger population doesn't know about.

I've been protesting today for a long time! I have to work, so I'm especially bitter about today regardless.

And by protesting, I mean the fact that this shit shouldn't be a holiday. Everyone has been forwarding these articles about how Colombus was a douche, and like, even the white washed history books I read in 8th grade still reinforced the notion that Colombus was a fucking spanish asshole!

How do people even say Happy Colombus day? This is all really confusing.
