Personal preference I would say but if anything shows you should note that FFXIII came out in 1 disc where on Xbox 360 is was multiple so I would say in the end it is a better system, the only problem is that when the other next gen consoles come around Sony probably wont say "We already have the PS3 and it is just as powerful so lets not come out with a new one"

other than that the network is free compared to X-box and I am not sure how Xbox works but I can play most movies right off my pen-drive on my big TV.

I copy them from my computer to pen-drive then play it on my PS3 I do not know the list of codecs that each systems has but there is only about 3 movies that have not worked for me.

So if more games follow suit of Final Fantasy 13 then X-box 360 will start having multiple disks which is a minor annoyance. But also that can mean certain things if you are supposed to go back to certain areas of games or loading times even, also I know you can upgrade a PS3 harddrive without voiding the warranty.

It depends whether or not the mass effect series is available on it

I seriously thought my 360 was a moronic investment (i got it for 10 bucks dont ask) until mass effect (both of them the first one alone doesnt warrant it)

The Uncharted games, God of War Collection and God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4. Those are all pretty solid games I'd say the system is worth it just to play the Uncharted games alone.

Matthew, I already have an X-Box and Mass Effect. I am now considering buying a PS3. I guess I will just wait and see if Last Guardian is as good as Shadow of the Colossus.

A lot of old PS1 games are being rereleased no change to graphics though. I would recommend buying Metal Gear Solid 4.
