I might have gotten the name wrong, but has anybody else seen this? It was one of the most relentlessly unfunny things I've ever witnessed and gave me the impression that the only thing making Family Guy even tolerable was network restrictions. I think I saw like half an hour of it.

So it was called Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy and apparently it aired in pieces on Youtube originally but I think I saw a DVD rip.

Maybe I haven't watched enough Family Guy to hate it with an adequate level of qualification, but the South Park Family Guy episode nailed my feelings so precisely that I guess I HAVE seen enough.

You know what other "postmodernly wink and yell at the camera in an unrelenting stream of non-sequitur cultural references" show I never liked? The Critic.

It stunk.

The Critic doesn't necessarily live up to my rosy memories of it, but it had some fucking awesome episodes and moments!

As did Family Guy.

I'm tempted to say the cons about South Park outweigh the pros, but a fat ignorant faggot singing its praises which amount to "It spits my opinions back at me with jokes" might change my mind (CHRIS)

The Venture Brothers is so much better than any other cartoon, that it is hard to watch anything else.

The Critic was best when it was just focused on the ridiculousness of the characters. The Critic was at its worst when it made fun of movies.
