Have you guys thought of any names for future children?

We are leaning heavily toward Rupert. I'm a big fan of sissy names in general and Katherine has always liked this name.

I also like Thurston, although she doesn't.

We are also thinking of Eleanor or Eloise (and calling her those when she is a little kid, and Eli as she gets older).

Ones that we aren't that serious about are H.W., Cady (after Elizabeth Cady Staton), and Squire (after the sports guy on Global local news in Vancouver).

Hyphenated last names are so bad and I'd probably take my wife's last name cuz there's enough of my last name in the world (Too much, even).

I've always dreamed of having one kid named Captain Jack Sparrow and another named Legolas Toriyama.

I don't know of a good solution for last names when people are married. The wife taking the husband's last name is dumb and loses extra points for being traditional. The husband taking the wife's is also dumb and loses points for being correlated with tradition by being the opposite. Hyphenating names is unsustainable unless you're looking to end last names within 3 generations or so. Both parties keeping their names is great but what do you name your kids? I think the only thing left is everybody picking a new last name but there's something crazy and incongruous about continuing the concept of last names while removing almost all motivation for their existence.

Guys, let's try to think of hilarious hyphenated names.

If you don't HAVE kids, you just keep your name and there's no issue.

If you're going to have kids, then you deserve to deal with the problem!!!

Though I might change my name simply so that I won't be Chris Psaros anymore, since this place is a character assassination nuclear bomb, Chris Psaros Nuts, DBZ Uncensored, etc.

I'm changing my name to Chris Psaros Janie Www.ftusa.org and committing an atrocity that will attract national news coverage.

The most obvious solution to me is for both parties to keep their own last names and give the kids the mom's name since that's what they'll have anyway when the slut gets bored and decides she's done with her poor husband and takes the kids from him forever.

Rupert is a shitty name, Thurston is pretty cool (talk about....... sonic YOUTH!!!!), Eleanor and Eloise are OK, I have no idea why Cady is on your list of joke names since it's a pretty nice name and Elizabeth Cady Stanton isn't the suffragette I would pick for a bad kid name since she's got two nice names and had over three hundred children. I remember staying home from school one day and seeing this religious talk show where one of the hosts kept talking about her husband Squire, and I thought what a stupid name!

I've always thought INEZ was the prettiest name but... do I want my daughter having such a pretty name!?!?!

For sissy names I would pick Joel, Julian, Ashley/leigh, Isidore, Kathleen, Sarah, and Pussymonster
