I'm gradually finding songs I like on my Four Tops greatest hits that aren't just the super big name ones I knew before, but the first 8 or so songs of the second disc of the Temptations anthology I have is one of the best sequences of 8 songs I've ever heard.

I can't think of a single band that has more than 8 good songs other than:

A: Mettallica
B: The Beatles in that "oh they have a buncha decent songs" sorta way


Mettallia sucks now, but what they did was far too good to be called luck. My theory is that they time traveled to the future, stole good songs they would write in the future, and then ran out of ideas.
