It was worth watching, and yet it offends me as a historian. Am I supposed to believe this qualifies as alternate history or even historical fiction?

Brad Pitt as a southerner was even (actually much) dumber than Deniro as a southerner. Just as "I am Legend" would have been much better with Arnold, this movie would have been much better with Ben Stiller

You might as well have made a wolfenstein movie, except that would have been better,
Oh, decent movie though. 6.5 out of 10.

The movie was great! I'd have called it awesome or excellent, but the pub basement scene was fucking unbearable until the end, and the Jew bitch from the cinema was absolutely infuriating. However, it had very strong points, like the sheer ridiculousness and power of a unit like the Basterds, the twist ending, Cristoph Waltz and the sudden violence. It certainly didn't take down Reservoir Dogs as my favorite Tarantino movie, but I think I'm either going to get this on DVD or rent it.

I think nitpicking this movie for its historical accuracy and portrayal of various kinds of people is pretty stupid. If you want that, go watch Saving Private Ryan or some shit.

Everyone gets on my ass with this "history" mentality I have, and to be fair its justified (because I know its a bias very specific to me)

But when a movie makes the Dirty Dozen look like a documentary, you're pretty much watching an anime with shittier music. And like an anime, I am not going to give it a flawless rating.

His movies range from good but overrated films such as this movie, ( and Pulp fiction, scumbag gangster films that actually aren't as good as other scumbag gangster films)

Quentin Tarantino directed part of Sin City and probably helped Rodriguez out with a great deal of the rest of the movie since they're Perfect Boyfriends Forever.
