Theldorrin, it is not that people are ignorant of social capital. It is that an outward rejection of the very concept of social capital makes an individual appear more genuine, paradoxically endowing her/him with more social capital.

I am surprised at your own projected ignorance of an essential quality of a concept you appear to hold so dear.
