You need to get a KGS account.
It's like Yahoo go but about 100x better because it actually scales to your screen size, does proper rankings, and can automatically save games.
You can also play as a guest, if you don't want to register, but your ranked games aren't automatically saved, then.

Crud. I was in a game at the time.
I'm now tentatively ranked at 25k. |

Let's play some games before I hit the sack and then go to bed.
What happens if my Internet goes down during the game? It's been spotty lately. Could I just rejoin? |

Oh, your info says you're online, but I can't message you. Maybe because you're a guest?
We generally try to create a new room called FTU or something, and then play in there. The main channels are very busy.
You can do Rooms -> Room List -> New Rooms and check for FTU, or create a new room if it isn't there.
KGS also has an automatching service, so you can set it up to automatically match you with a person for a game. |

Oh, never mind about that N19 move I was talking about. It turned out to not be a threat after all. You were right, my P18 move secured it. Q-17 was the unnecessary move I made because I was paranoid.
I still didn't want you to play it though, because I get stressed out by wars between big blobs. |

I actually went back in time a ways, and set up the computer to play both sides, and it turned out that one playing as me (white) won, and managed to claim that area at the top.
The computer is insanely good compared to me, though, so it's unlikely that I'd have any hope.
Anyway, you're my only loss on KGS so far. I need to find out my rank! |

Feh, there's no way I'd lose to some stupid MACHINE. Especially on 19x19! That top part was as good as mine.
I played with the computer on Igowin, and they're decent at close quarters combat, but they don't know anything about territory. |

Igowin only plays 9x9. Even I can beat it on an even game. The computer is much better on a 19x19 board. |

Oh my god, we'll see about that. Tell me how to play against the computer. Tomorrow I'm going to rock it! |

If you have Jago installed, and Gnu Go, it pretty much does itself. Start Jago, then Actions >> Play Go (using GMP).
At least that was my experience. |

I've played the computer a few times, and this is the closest I've come to winning (I'm white). Fukkk.
I never realized that Igowin wasn't the pinnacle of Go AI development. |

GnuGo (at its maximum difficulty) and Many Faces of Go (the particular version I have) cap out at about 9k or so.
But the new version of Many Faces of Go is around 2k, so like 7 stones stronger still!
And there are a bunch of other programs in the 2k range, I believe.
Anyway, what colour were you in that most recent game? |

Also, 9x9 is much easier than 19x19. The medium size board is easier too, for that matter.
I'm not sure exactly why. |

I was white again. I won by 7.5 on both counts with komi taken into account.
How do you set the difficulty level? I was just playing on whatever the default was. And it makes no sense for the computer to be worse on a small board. |
