I'm still excited about this, no matter how bad the movie itself is.

I'm excited at all the things that are going to happen - the movie bombing fucking hard and the fans screaming and crying, Roger Ebert himself FUCKING TALKING ABOUT GOKU, the (already written) script for the would-be sequel being leaked and everyone shaking their fists because of how much better it would have been, etc.

It will be fun to watch all the drama unfold.

I have to admit that I find Bulma pretty hot in this. Anyway the one clip of continuous footage I saw was pretty awful but hey, maybe it'll surprise me!

So far, in the countries that this has opened in, it has made more in its opening weekend than Watchmen did in those countries, but not by much, and (for some reason) Singapore and Taiwan liked Watchmen more than this.

It's about on par with Watchmen internationally, in any case. $10,000,000 in the till!

And if it does remotely in the US like it is doing internationally, it can probably crawl to 100 mil worldwide. Which is better than I expected.

The only reason I care about any of this and want it to be successful is because I WANT A SEQUEL BAD.

(DURR, MUST HAVE LIVE-ACTION VEGETA, HRRR!!!!!!!!!)

So far, international looks decent. It all comes down to America though. As long as it appeals to the idiot hordes looking for something to take their kids to, it may not be a bomb.

What matters is that it's not going to be a Legend of Chun Li-like disaster.
