David Hayter is basically praising the movie for how challenging, thought-provoking and powerful the film supposedly is. Things like the stupid fights and the bastardized ending piss me off, even moreso when the jackass who wrote the script keeps basically jabbing his finger on my chest, saying what a great film and an awesome work of art this is and that I should go watch it again because I'm too stupid to get it the first time.

I'm watching it now and 'tolerable' is definitely the wrong word to describe Chapter 4. It's excellent, really.

If that scene hadn't been in there, Nite Owl and Silk Spectre II wouldn't have had a single fight!

I don't know if that's in the comic or not, but if it isn't, that's one more way the movie is better.

So, I got around to watching this. The thing is, 4/5 of the movie is actually pretty good/competently directed/written/blah blah, but the remaining 1/5 is awful.

Silk Spectre's mom was absurdly terrible, as was Nixon with 50 pounds of god damn makeup on. Those two make the casting of Ozymandias seem like a masterstroke. It's not overtly bad outside of those three, but it seemed like every 15 minutes some actor would deliver a line so atrociously that you were forced to recognize it. Even Rorschach, who for the most part was pretty good, had a few cringe worthy lines.

I guess it's worth seeing though, because it's done fairly well for the most part. Also, there's nothing else out. w/e
