That's what I'm thinking of doing. What's cool about bowling is that you CAN play alone. You never have to wait your turn, you'll get good faster, etc.

I can walk to my bowling alley and it's $2 a game on Sunday mornings!

I like bowling a lot but me and all my friends are able to average over 100 so the OUTING can be fun for competitive as well as social reasons (which are obviously not reliable for fun). I guess if I was really bad I wouldn't find it fun either, but I don't see why anyone wouldn't make an effort to get at least OK at bowling!
