What are you planning to use your computer for?

Also, you don't need thermal paste because it'll come with a thermal pad.

I don't plan on doing anything specific with it, I just want to be able to play recent games without feeling like I'm missing on nice lighting effects and textures.

Anyway, if you upgrade your video card, you really could play everything that's out at decent settings.

This trend of psychotically huge power supplies is getting carried away. You don't need a 750 watt power supply, and PSU failure is caused by shitty quality, not overloading. 750 is probably literally double what you need. The brands I think of as reliable are Antec and Enermax.

The most potent change you could make at this point would be to double the ram, since that shit is cheap.
