I hit a little snag with the theme, since the theme I was editing turned out to have all of its style information stored in the database, and that's not really acceptable.

Which will be sort of tricky when we import things.

Anyway, the lesson is that I need to use a different base theme to work with.

Well, filling the posts table with the old PPs is easy enough, we can just copy it from the current version.

I think on the posts counts the easiest way would be for all your posts from before the update to just be frozen with the current post count (ie, the way they were for PPs at the time when I implemented static PPs). That way we can just fill the database with the current value of the user's post count. Trying to count back and get accurate post counts for old posts seems like overkill.

It'll only take a bit of effort to create the appropriate script.
