By the way, there's a special bonus in this match: a tie means that nobody advances. _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

Ganishka technically can't lose since he's incorporeal. |

I voted for Humongous because he has a cool neck thing. |

You blame characters for being huge and super strong, even though that's like the appeal of wrestling for majority of people. |

So? That doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Apparently, huge and superstrong people is the major appeal of manga. At FTU, anyway. Does that mean a non-huge and superstrong manga like Death Note has no merit? _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

Death Note is great but that doesn't mean that any of its characters would win in an all-out brawl, except for maybe Ryuk. I guess Light could just write everyone's name in his Death Note, but that's not as fun to imagine as Jason Voorhees cutting Mamoru Takamura's head off with a machete. |

Like I said in the chat, you have to allow for upsets. If the author of Death Note wanted to have Light defeat a person that was GAY GAY STRONG GAY FAGGOT HUGE, he'd find a way. _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

And, of course, my issue isn't the mere fact that some characters' greatest strength is that they're indestructible and incredibly powerful, it's just that those words pretty much describe half of the entrants or more, with the other half being Hermione. _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

And people need to realize that they're not compelling, engaging or well thought out characters, no matter if you've convinced yourself otherwise. _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

As long as you're comfortable with the fact that your opinions amount to jack since you're completely unfamiliar with the majority of the source material. |

No, "completely unfamiliar" is not accurate. _________________ Last edited by God on Fri Apr 05, 33 4:00 am; edited 1 time in total |

I like the Humungus not because he's huge and superstrong, which he only demonstrates once to choke out a goon, but because he drives around with a group of raving rapists and fascist fags.
And he also has a guy to introduce him although this is the post-apocalypse and I imagine he doesn't have many opportunities for that to happen, what with nearly everyone being dead and all. _________________

Man, who nominated Potemkin? Also, Humungus is the far more humorous spelling. |

Takamura's strength is that he's really good at everything. He always wins. |

I think John Buis nominated him. I personally would have gone with Faust, but I was away from the board for all but the first day of nominations. At least my one pick made it to the next round. |
