The problem with SOME PEOPLE'S evaluation of posters is that they overemphasize particular characteristics as important.

Being funny isn't fucking everything!

Servbot is very nice, and pleasant to talk to. I mean, THERE'S THAT. Is that not worth anything?

People overstate the SHIT out of Calvin being nice.

This happened with Spamdini too. All "nice" posters have fucking giant self-righteous egos that surface if you give them even the slightest love tap.

It's much more noble to be like me.

It takes too much effort to be a huge asshole. Being nice and having a good conversation (like now for instance) is infinitely more enjoyable than calling each other names nonstop.

Also, I like sharing things with you guys and introducing you to new things.

I don't see what's wrong with Servbot's posting.

Ace just has a bad habit of killing a series of hilarious posts from others with something mildly unfunny.

I imagine he's appropriating his MEATSPACE humor onto FTU. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the funny guy in his group.

What I meant about Ace not being like Chris, though, is that Chris will go on some huge FAG SPASM about eating while he shits and treating his girlfriend like an eight year old girl treats her knew kitten, and then when we all inevitably start competing with each other for who can react to him with the harshest insult, he backs up and says he was trolling and that we don't understand how many layers of irony he uses. Well, he doesn't do that anymore. Now he just tells people to lighten up a little. But BACK IN THE DAY, he did that.

Ace, by contrast, while he may defend himself, has never thrown up his arms and said, "I KNOW that was a lame joke. I'm just trying to be a FLY IN YOUR OINTMENT because I find myself disenfranchised by your fey elitism," although I can't help but feel like that's what he's thinking sometimes.

And then of course there's that stereotype about Western Jews being insensitive to nuances as manifested by their lack of rhythm and out of date sense of humor, and maybe it's just kind of an accurate stereotype, and I'm reading too much into Ace's character. Perhaps Western Jews use the stigma of twentieth century antisemitism that culminated in the Hollocaust as an excuse to not try as hard in social situations.

Anyway, I like Ace, and sometimes I look back on things that I did like banning him and telling him he'd be unbanned if he renounced his religion with a combination of sick pride and genuine horror at how such behavior could be construed.
