You should take a survey of what is actually being used, because there are probably better (cheaper and more reliable) alternatives. Although it may be too much of a hassle to bother.

If you are interested, check your bandwidth usage, disk usage and mysql usage in the status.

Yeah, we use one tenth of one percent of my available bandwidth.

Dreamhost only has the one plan now, though, and moving to a new host seems like much more work than it's worth to save, what, $50 over two years?

Well, your plan is ~$240, I think.

If you look at what the board itself uses, you can get something for much cheaper.

Like Peter's webhost, for example. You could get 100 MB of storage for 24 months for $24 and add in 1 GB of bandwidth for another dollar.

The Mysql costs for his host aren't very clear to me, but it seems like they would be unlikely to be over $25 or so.

So it's cheaper by about $200. Of course storing shit is more expensive than bandwidth by a lot, so you'd be screwed if you include the FTP stuff.

If you do decide to move the board, you need to copy everything in the forum/ directory and make a backup of the database. Then when you install it on a new server you need to change the config file and restore the database from the backup.
