Is there anybody here who really can't get excited about these movies at all? I know so many people who say they're their favorite movies ever but they really don't TOUCH ME in any special way. I'm not ATTACKING THEM or asking fans what they like about them, I'm just curious if anybody is in the same boat as me.

Yeah, the Seth Rogen/Apatow films aren't ridiculously terrible but they never get above average/decent either.

Although, I enjoyed Superbad a little bit more because one of my friends looks and acts exactly like that fat kid with the fro.

The exchange in Knocked Up about life being like a really sad episode of Everybody Loves Raymond that never ends is so good, though.

I dunno, I feel pretty strongly about these films. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is by far the weakest, but still has very good moments.

I just finished watching the Freaks and Geeks series, done by the same people. I never saw it when it actually aired, but it has a couple actors from some of those movies(Seth Rogen, Jason Segel).

It was ok, Seth Rogen was one of the worst actors on the show though.

I guess Pineapple Express would be totally hilarious if you're a burned out loser that hates life. But there really isn't much profit to be made in the Vinny sector of the economy.

Freaks and Geeks is a pretty good show, despite how annoying everybody on it is.

Undeclared is better than Freaks and Geeks, but still kind of annoying. Seth Rogen is also better in it.

Alright, I think I'll give it a shot.

I really can't believe how painfully unfunny he was in Freaks and Geeks. I watched it right after Zakk and Miri, which I thought was hilarious, and that made his performance all the worse in that show.

Although I'm fairly sure Jason is unable to comprehend of something is just OK, I think the Apatow films are decent. I'll admit I never had the desire to see them again, but I enjoyed them when I did.

Pineapple Express didn't seem like a stoger film at first until the characters stopped behaving logically and everyone started dying horribly.
