Pork, it's not even so much that the actual words were used as it is that the aesthetic and thematic intent were the same. Both you and Kurt Cobain, independently of eachother, used "God is Gay" as a nonsensical SHOCK VALUE statement to express both your sexual confusion and your frustration with a boring, predictable society that has even coopted SHOCK VALUE itself into its lame structure. It's a primal, desparate exclamation that makes no literal sense but is intended to be as offensive to as many stupid people as possible. You imbedded the phrase in a satirical automobile commercial. He imbedded it at the end of an extended chorus of "Stay away" (in what many interpet as a satirical commercial rock album).

It is not really all that coincidental. In both instances, the phrase intentionally exudes the paradoxical combination of rage and nonsequitor. Passion and self-parody.
