The ocean voices were far better than any purist faggot (PSAROS) gave them credit for,

but the series reached the pinnacle of its popularity under shit voice actors.

Psaros claims this is just momentum but after careful thought this rationalization is at least slightly overblown

I know it's not fair to judge from a single clip but that Ocean dubbing of everybody at the Cell game sounded just as bad as anything FUNimation has done. I'm another person who enjoyed the first two Ocean dubbed seasons so it's not just me being some FUNimation loyalist!

It's pretty much unanimous that the dubbing that Ocean did past season 2 was awful, and not at all on the same level as what they did originally.

The factors that changed were the writing and directing, and the speed with which it was done, so it's probably a combination of all that.

Kaiou had healing powers, so all he had to do to train goku was beat the shit out of goku and then heal him

In fact thats what he probably did to raise goku's power (once he could catch bubbles!), with spirit bomb and kaiou ken being the real focus

That said he probably wasnt good enough to train the other Z warriors (except Piccolo) to beat the Ginyu force
