I eat a lot of eggs, like 10 per week (maybe that's not a lot), because they are explosively nutritious.

But as far as cholesterol and stuff, what are they these days? Bad, good?

Egg whites are fantastic. Excellent sources of protein and if you work out you can pretty much eat them at your leisure.

Eating eggs with the YOLK is something you should DEFINITELY limit because they are very rich in fat and cholesterol. If you're going LOW CARB, then maybe you could justify eating TWO a week as sources of fat, but there are better sources (such as breakfast meat).

On the whole, though, only eat whites. You can buy pure egg whites at the store or easily scoop out the yolks with a spoon once you break a regular egg into a bowl.

Most of the nutrients in an egg are in the yolk. Just eating the white is very wasteful.

A nutritionist came in today for my phys ed class and talked about this very subject! :ghosts!

Apparently, 3-4 a week doesn't matter too much, but 10 is probably entering the area where the amount of cholesterol you're eating outweighs the nutritional benefits.

The reality is that taking a multivitamin twice a day will give you the benefits of eating yolk and not turn you into a fat piece of shit if you eat goddamn ten a week. Egg whites aren't just some false health fad, they are extremely useful sources of protein with zero downsides, which is something you have a very, very hard time saying about the vast majority of food.

The problem is that if I buy eighteen eggs I get a huge discount on the second carton, so I always have a lot of eggs. They're very CONVENIENT to prepare, so bam.

Also, I don't really understand what exactly is bad about cholesterol, and I heard eggs had the GOOD cholesterol anyway.

I eat meat and cereal and eggs and pasta, and I actually have 1-2 pieces of fruit a day nowadays. I probably eat too much frozen shit.

I never, ever, ever eat green, leafy vegetables.
