Also, be careful of the supposed synopsis the guy gives of Beyond the Spectrum, because it's mostly bullshit.
From another site:
Nowhere is the month when this takes place mentioned. Nowhere in the story are aircraft or "sun bombs" mentioned. Nobody bombs anybody in the story, let alone wipes out whole cities with airborne explosives. American sailors are temporarily blinded by ultraviolet spotlight (from a design plagiarized from an American) mounted on Japanese submarines; that's the supposed "sun bomb"!
It pisses me off a lot when people start throwing in bullshit disinfo/urban legends into something of genuine paranormal interest.
OH, HE PREDICTED TITANIC!!?! THAT'S NOT AMAZING ENOUGH, SO LET'S MAKE UP A BUNCH OF SHIT ABOUT ANOTHER STORY HE WROTE AND SULLY THINGS SO THAT EVERYONE WILL ULTIMATELY DECIDE THAT THE WHOLE THING IS AN URBAN LEGEND, DURRR.
I hate people. |

It's unbelievable the number of people who reposted the misinformation on Beyond the Spectrum on their shitty fucking websites.
THIS kind of shit is what stops people from giving paranormal phenomena a fair shake. |

Psaros, maybe you should become more concerned with liberty than UFOs |

Is there something especially significant about a 96 year anniversary, or are you going to start posting stuff about the Titanic every year?

I only read the wikipedia article, but these coincidences aren't impressive. "Titan" is an obvious name for a massive, ill-fated vehicle. Mid-April is an obvious time for a ship to sink in the North Atlantic.
But it is very cool that this guy invented the periscope! |

It's possible to predict the future if you train your mind to look past the superficial outer layer and see reality for the constant, interconnected web of cause-effect relationships that it actually is.
One can start with an encyclopedic knowlege of history and continue with a theoretical cause-effect relationship into the future. The BRAIN CAPACITY to do this, however, would be extensive and would also necessarily yield a number of innacurate predictions with a few true ones INGRANED in the mess. It would therefor be labeled guesswork, and anybody who, in retrospect, possessed a "paranormal" ability for futuristic predictions would easily be dismissed as a hack because of the innacurate predictions involved.
And since only with hindsight can any of these predictions be proven true or false, it is a useless gift. Plus, if the predictions are taken seriously, the predictions themselves must be factored into the cause-effect relationship, inneeding any "paranormal" future-reader with the ability to determine how seriously his predictions will be taken and factor in how they will effect outcomes.
In conclusion, I am a stupid, inbred, Southern hick who takes incredible (that is, lacking credibility) theories literallly as a result of the mind-altering chemicals floating in my drinking water, which comes from the mouth of the Mississippi river and is saturated with the fecal remnants of most of Middle America. |

ALDP, isn't it great how cats are so cute and adorable and do silly things that we can laugh at via Youtube videos?
Sharing cat-videos with girls online is actually more personally degrading than eating a girl's pussy while she menstrates! |

What the fuck does sharing Youtube videos of cats have to do with eating out a menstruating girl? What do either of those things have to do with this thread? |
