I'm studying for my intro psych final right now, and my stuff says babies are born with new brains. Like, if you look at the brain of a person who has experienced a lifetime of suffering, and a baby's brain, they're easily distinguishable. I dunno, that seems like a more solid and self-contained explanation for why we aren't born with the memories of dead people.
