Fear If women are to be feared, my sweet little Greek, men are no different. Perhaps they engender a different kind of fear, say, physical, but that gut-tightening throat-closing reason-clouding feeling is still fear. The bigger question, is why? What really is there to be afraid of? Frankly at this point, the only thing I can think of is the unknown. Which I know can be very intimidating. It can make people pass up incredible opportunities out of the potential for failure or pain. But we only get one go around in this life. And passing up opportunities out of fear or misguided prejudices or laziness is nothing short of sad. If you are going to give up on something, at least have a real reason for it, and not some abstract preconceived notion of how it will turn out. My opinion, of course. At any rate, I do look forward to meeting Marina. WHILE, we have briefly discussed you and your propensity for delaying responses on certain personal communications, you are not the lynchpin of our conversations. I have a lot of respect for her, and we share certain experiences. Plus, she has a great sense of humor, looks incredibly cute from her pictures, and can hold an intelligent conversation without being boring. If she weren't married... You, know, it still could be you. Even now. I would even go so far as to specify a time and place, but I don't want to go through all the effort of editing to save face when you shoot me down again. Pin it on the laziness. I used to have this corny quote that I used whenever anyone told me that I should be afraid of a situation because "You are just a girl!"
