People who bash something because it is popular are just as bad as the people who follow popularity blindly. What didn't you like about it? The artwork alone, the fidelity of the style and the fluidity impressed me. That is enough for me to like something, though I found other parts appealing as well.

The manga is 1000% its superior. You cannot fit 1000s of pages of manga into one 2 hour movie. Imagine all of DBZ shoved into one movie. Just can't do that.

NONSENSICAL GARBAGE. AND THERE ARE SO MANY DANGLING, ANNOYING PLOT THREADS (whatever) THAT NEVER GET TIED UP. It's frustrating as hell. The only good thing about the show is Rei Ayanami. JSUT LIEK EVERY OTHER FUCKIGN MOVIE THATS BASED ON A BOOK. Christ. I read a lot of Cricton(however you spell his last name), and in part the moives based on his books were shit in comaprsion with the books, but Jurassic Park was a GOOD MOVIE. So was Rising Sun. James Clavell's Shogun was excellant, both movie and book, but hte Book was better. I can keep listing them, but you get my point. Akira was a great movie, as a movie and an anime. ANd it was a better manga, the new collection is god. BUt i love each seperately. Delierance sucked in both Soundtrack and Movie. Dueling Banjos was the only thing that saved it.

That would be like saying that Star Wars sucks because of the scene where Leia gives Luke the tongue.

It wasn't supposed to come off like some Hollywood or Broadway venture. But to each their own. IF you REALLY want to see a fucked up movie, go watch L.I.E. Psaros in particular should see that. Would rock his world. And I would say what it is about, but the opportunity to mock would be too great and then this new leaf I am working so diligently on turning over would be crushed. Like a crushed leaf. There is nothing wrong with being a hack. Particularly a WEALTHY hack who is consistently on the top of the best seller lists.
