I keep on forgetting to post this useful link
This is the useful link.
Since there is massive confusion and lack of knowledge in the movie business, they have a site that tracks the progress, rumors, and scrpits of upcoming movies and sequels.
So go and find about Rocky 6 or Matrix 2 or whatever.

Rocky VI
Genre: Drama.
Studio: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
Production Company: Unknown.
Project Phase: Development Hell.
Who's In It: Sylvester Stallone (Rocky Balboa).
Who's Making It: Sylvester Stallone (Screenwriter); Stallone is also in talks with MGM to direct--see Scoop Feedback for more info.
Premise: Getting up in years and getting thin in the wallet, the boxer gets into the ring one last time as a fund raiser for a youth organization.
Release Date: Unknown.
Rumors: July 29, 1999... Reports everywhere on the internet offer little information, but the current rumor is that Sylvester Stallone is in talks with the studio to write, direct and star in the latest sequel. Time will tell.
Scoop Feedback:
July 29, 1999... CNN Online reports that the movie is "One of several movie projects that Chris McGurk, MGM vice chairman, mentioned as top priority for the studio in a telephone conference call Tuesday with Wall Street analysts and investors, spokesman Craig Parsons says."
It has also been mentioned that the movie will be developed to shoot on a somewhat moderate budget of around 30 million. As opposed to the enormous budget that would surely be attached to a Rocky prequel.
[Thanks to "Mirage", "Stryker" and another "Angry Young Man" as well as countless others for bringing this to our attention, and not making a legal fuss over the hot coffee incident.]
May 15, 2000... Stallone spoke with Entertainment Weekly regarding this project, and apparently, yes, he's written a script for the film. He's holding out for the budget, currently set to $10 million, to get jacked up to around $20 million. [Info provided by Entertainment Weekly.]
October 8, 2000... Just mention made over at the IMDB regarding the possibility of making another. Who can we thank? George Foreman, apparently. Sly spake: "When George Foreman came along I began thinking well here is a man who came back and was reborn. When he started fighting for the second time he was better than he was originally and so I could see that there might be a reason to shoot another Rocky." [Originally appeared at the IMDB.]

Ghost Rider
Genre: Comic Book Adaptation/Horror/Action.
Studio: Dimension Films.
Production Company: Marvel Films/Crystal Sky Entertainment.
Project Phase: In Development.
Who's In It: Nicolas Cage (Johnny Blaze/"Ghost Rider").
Who's Making It: Steven Norrington (Director) ; David Goyer (Screenwriter); Avi Arad, Steven Paul, Jon Voight (Producers); Steven Norrington, David Goyer (Executive Producers); based on the comic book published by Marvel Comics.
Premise: A motorcycle stuntman makes a deal with the devil in order to save his mentor from cancer. His end of the bargain is a little more than he expected, however, and he is possessed by a demon. Every night, he transforms into the Ghost Rider, a humanoid form with a flaming skull for a head, and goes out to wreak vengeance on the guilty.
Release Date: Unknown. 2003?
Comments: Although the premise above is the from the original Ghost Rider character, Johnny Blaze, it remains to be seen whether that incarnation will be the focus of this film, or the Ghost Rider revival, Dan Ketch, or a combination of the two. Either way, expect to see lots of motorcycle stunts and flame effects.
Rumors: Unknown.

[Page draft submitted by 'Widgett'.]
August 9, 1998... Although having been mentioned as a live action Marvel film in development by Stan "The Man" Lee himself, this is no doubt another victim of Marvel's shaky financial ground at present. If they can ever get that mess sorted out, you might see ol' flamehead hit the big time -- but right now the project is in development hell (pun intended.) [Originally appeared in Comics2Film; reported by 'Widgett.]
May 19, 2000... Wowzers, Bob. Marvel isn't messing around when it comes to trying to get on the movie bandwagon. Scoopers sent us a press release from Marvel and Crystal Sky regarding this deal to bring Flamehead to the big screen. Just like with the previous Artisan agreement, Marvel and CS will be sharing revenue, licensing and merchandising. They want production to kick off early next year and the film is expected to run about $75 million. They want Depp to play Johnny Blaze (as opposed to the later version which was a character named Dan) and Jon Voight will be producing and might take a role in the film as well. The Goyer draft, at least, has survived and was mentioned. [Originally came down the Business Wire, info to us by X-Fan in Waiting, Nutcase, and Brother Power the Geek.]
June 14, 2000... A recent issue of Entertainment Weekly dropped word that the film is currently looking to hit your local cinema in 2002 or 2003. [Originally appeared in Entertainment Weekly; reported by Widgett.]
August 2, 2000... Stax gave a review of one of Goyer's drafts of the project over at IGN FilmForce. Click here to give that a read. And then you might want to click here afterwards, to get Goyer's response to the review. For the most part he says that there will be a number of changes now that the project is over at Crystal Sky. [Originally appeared in IGN FilmForce; reported by Widgett.]
August 15, 2000... Variety reports that Stephen Norrington, who directed Blade, is now in negotiations to direct the Ghost Rider feature. [Sent in by 'TWhitten', 'Gavrimus', Adam.]
Yesterday the online sci-fi magazine Mothership posted an interview with former Ghost Rider screenwriter David Goyer. Goyer informed Mothership that his five-year old script, and his involvement with the project, might not be over yet. "I'm in the midst of negotiating a deal, so we'll see if that comes to fruition," Goyer told Mothership. "Johnny Depp has expressed a lot of interest in playing Johnny Blaze, which I think is perfect casting."
For the full interview, as well as more quotes from Goyer about this and other projects he's working on, read the Mothership article here. [Originally appeared at Mothership.]
August 31, 2000... Ghost Rider is now en route to Dimension Films according to the official press release posted at MovieHeadlines. Apparently, in one of the most aggressive deals to date Dimension has aquired the rights to this action packed super-hero project based on the Marvel Comics character. This deal reunites screenwriter David Goyer with Steven Norrington who has been brought in to direct the film. Both Goyer and Norrington previously worked together on Blade and the two will also serve as Executive Producers in this new feature. We can't wait to ride along with this one. [Appeared at MovieHeadlines; reported by Reg.]
November 7, 2000... Ghost Rider screenwriter David Goyer recently revealed great news to Comics Continuum regarding the status of his new Ghost Rider movie script:
"...I'm just finishing up the first draft...should be turning it in by the end of the month."
[Appeared at ComicsContinuum; reported by Reg.]
April 19, 2001... Well, the draft is in, according to Comics2Film. Goyer spoke with the site about progress, and said that you can expect the thing to kick off post-Strike. For the full report, click here. [Originally appeared in Comics2Film.]
May 22, 2001... A number of readers have written in to say they've seen a concept poster for the film appear on other movie websites. Turns out the poster was used by the film's production company to drum up visibilty while the Cannes film festival was happening. And there it is, over on your right. [Thanks to all, especially Sum Whan when his head caught on fire.]
June 12, 2001... Marvel had a big poster at the NYC licensing show touting their slate for TV and film through 2004 and the end of time...this film appears on there with in that latter category--2004 and beyond. So if you've been waiting to see a big flaming skull on the screen...hang in there. [J. Dymes has a penance stare.]
June 21, 2001... Variety reports in today's edition that Nicolas Cage (Windtalkers) is in discussions to play Johnny Blaze, a.k.a. the Ghost Rider. Cage is a lifelong comic book fan (his last name was lifted from the Marvel Comics' superhero Luke Cage) and has been trying to be the leading man in a superhero film for years. His past attempt to play the new incarnation of Superman failed to happen; perhaps this time will be the one. [Scooped first by 'Adam Apple'; reported by Variety.]
July 2, 2001... Empire Online breaks the story that Nicolas Cage has committed to star in the Ghost Rider movie. Speaking to Empire, GR producer Jon Voight said "Nic Cage is going to do it."
For more from Voight and the possibility he might also star in the film, hit Empire Online. [Originally appeared on Empire Online.]
